I am in favour of wind power but I am against the siting of the enormous substation on land east of the A12. I am also against interferring with the delicate coastline at Thorpeness where erosion has already recently killed a person walking on the beach. This is an unsuitable site for the digging of a trench for the cabling. The route would also interfere with AONB land which should be avoided at all times so the environment and wild life can thrive not be under threat. The local residents and visitors would be affected by light, noise and air pollution. The local roads are unsuitable for heavy traffic and HGV vehicles. They are used more frequently by tractors and bicycles. Closing PRoWs would affect the well being of the locals and impact on the local economy with regard to tourism. This area is so unsuitable for the developments Scottish Power wishes to carry out. An alternative site in a more urban area should be found.
