The substation complex of over thirty-five acres of industrial buildings and concrete will cover an area of outstanding national beauty and prime farmland. It will permanently blight Friston village and destroy much wildlife habitat. It will also be detrimental to Friston residents' quality of life and the value of their property, especially closer to the substations to the north of the village.
