Dear Sir, I object to the Application for a Windfarm off the coast at Sizewell and all the land disruption through to Friston. This is an extremely beautiful, unspoilt and uncomplicated part of the East Anglian coast. It is a draw for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Therefore it draws much from tourism to sustain local livelihoods. There will be a huge impact on :tourism - declining numbers of tourists in Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and the surrounding communities who have relied on this as a living. :traffic - roads clogging up with heavy lorries and diversions, road closures. There is the safety aspect for Emergency services also. Also the footpaths/bridleway closures that are bound to ensue - jolly annoying when one has planned this as part of a holiday. :wildlife - the A.O.N.B. is a nationally acknowledged area for specific wildlife. It is very narrow in Leiston and any disturbance/ splitting up of the area ,could result in species disappearing altogether. At present this is a big draw for walkers, bird watchers. Even the BBC Nature Watch has been to Minsmere- not a small thing. It is of National Importance and should be respected as such. Build on it once and a precedence has been set for the destruction of other similar areas. : Friston. It is a very small hamlet yet it has been chosen for the site of a complex the size of the O2 in London or the size of another Sizewell! I am not against Wind power as such but this seems to have not been thought through fully at all. To try and invade this small area with two Scottish Power Plants AND Sizewell C in an uncoordinated attack in the same time frame is mindless. We will only lose animal species once. They cannot be replaced by waving a magic wand. They are here because this is where they have, so far, survived very well. Please find a brownfield site - there must be some. Scottish Power should have thought of this before they built the windfarms at sea. Thank you.
