The planned building of a range of energy projects in Friston is extremely unwise. The area is one of beauty, and this will be disrupted for ever with these projects. The road network in particular is totally inadequate for the huge lorries that will be driving to Aldeburgh, and then to Friston. The roads are not wide enough to cope with massive construction lorries that typically move at speed, and with little regard for other road users. These roads are not wide enough, and are used by cyclists all the time. As there are no pavements there will be nowhere for road users to go in the event of the lorries meeting other lorries going the opposite direction. I fear this is likely to end up with several people dying, and do not think this is a price worth paying. Surely there is land that has easy access on satisfactory roads, that is not an area of significant beauty that can be used to house the massive buildings. The heavy traffic is also going to make Aldeburgh much less desirable as a tourist attraction. This will obviously affect the viability of local businesses.
