I write to object to the proposals of Scottish Power Renewables at Friston. The proposals cover a development which is entirely unsuitable for the location. The proposed development is too large and its effect on the local communities unacceptable. It will destroy a hitherto unspoilt landscape. It will destroy ancient woodland. It will create noise and light pollution (NB with a likely devastating effect on wildlife and its traditional habitats). It will put too large a strain on the local road infrastructure. It will have a significantly deleterious effect on the local tourist industry, the area's main source of income. In short, the proposals are entirely inappropriate for this locality.
