I strongly oppose the Scottish Power Renewables planning application as this is highly damaging to the Suffolk Heritage Coast and will destroy the village of Friston and the surrounding area irrevocably. This will have a terrible effect on the community of Friston, placing too much pressure on Friston's infrastructure and destroying an area of outstanding natural beauty and unspoilt countryside. The size of the application is that of Wembley Stadium; this will clearly destroy Friston's community and seriously jeopardise the future of a village which is already liable to flooding. The cable trenches and haul roads are incredibly close to residential homes, again causing unimaginable disruption and will be highly distressing for these communities. The current roads are highly unsuitable for this sort of construction and are not meant to accommodate HGVS and high traffic. All of this is going to have a terrible effect on local tourism and will deter people from coming to the area - again negatively affecting local businesses and communities. I strongly oppose the Scottish Power Renewables planning application on environmental grounds and am deeply saddened at the pollution and disruption this will cause in an area of such outstanding natural beauty. The air pollution will have serious negative knock on effects for the health of local communities and the noise pollution sets a dangerous precedent for how we treat our environment. The destruction of ancient woodland is a further devastating blow to the area's natural fauna and wildlife.
