In simple terms the impact of the windfarm and sub station development at Friston is too much for this small rural community. It seems extraordinary that the substation cannot be located at Sizewell or alternatively linked to the cable at Bawdsey. It is clear that Scottish Power did not think ahead when building the Bawdsey link to the Ipswich sub station leading to this terrible Friston proposal. In addition the development of Sizewell C at the same time will simply bring this part of East Suffolk to both a physical and economic standstill. I urge the Planning Inspectorate and the Government to think again about this catastrophic proposal.
