I am deeply concerned that the implementation of the proposed plan will have a disproportionate negative impact on local communities, and that there does not appear to be a coordinated UK strategic approach or national strategy to ensure that offshore wind farm construction and connection to distribution networks is managed in such a way that future expansion is catered for at the beginning of planning, prior to construction of any such projects. The result of this is that there are repeated cycles of lengthy disruption and extensive destruction of environment and amenity at locations affected. It is my opinion that future-proofing by installing sufficient infrastructure for future needs should be required for the current plan. The situation is, of course, exacerbated by the simultaneous and uncoordinated planning for Sizewell C.
