I am a firm supporter of th eneed to shift our energy policy toward renewables - but this proposal is not suitable for the area, on a number of grounds. Most importantly, the site imposes an industrial development close to a small, rural community, when there are more suitable sites in the area and, particularly, nearer the landfall of the cable from the windfarm. I am also very concerned about the plans to deal with rainfall run-off: i do not believe they have been adequately though through and that they heighten considerably the risk of flooding in Friston village.
