Dear Examining Authority Re: EAST ANGLIA NORTH ONE We wish to object to this ScottishPower Renewables planning application for the following reasons: The proposed sub-station is very big and uses natural countryside and then involves 11km of cable trench from the coast, which in turn is destroying environmentally sensitive areas. We are told this will also involve light pollution and noise pollution from that site even when it is finished. The amount of traffic, mostly lorries, that would be required to build the trench and subsequently the site would cause an unacceptable and dangerous environment on the local roads and if they still plan to come down the Saxmundham Road to Aldeburgh this would impact on tourism, businesses and trade and residents such as ourselves. These roads are just not able to cope with that amount of heavy haulage. Surely a brownfield site along the coast somewhere would be a much better solution.
