I support representations being made by SASES and FRISTON PARISH COUNCIL HERITAGE listed buildings near proposed site why is substation so close to them? And the whole village National grid planning more interconnectors and offshore wind farms HUMAN IMPACT Friston has a vulnerable and ageing population, concerned stress during build could lead to mental and general health issues during and after construction Loss of equity. Damage to air quality, noise and more traffic impact Visual harm and character of Friston will change Light pollution will came from 24 hour working, car park plus security lighting If we had to move who would buy our house near a substation , Landscape will change forever all you will see when in village is substation towering over village LAND USE loss of farm land 83 acres we need more growing land not less FLOOD RISK village floods now, SPR have not taken this into account FOOTPATHS will be closed and diverted for unspecified time rights of way will be lost for ever ECOLOGY badger sets and bat roosting sites are on cable path, birds and animals will suffer by loss of hedgerow grasslands etc. SUBSTATION will be visible for miles as it is so high towering above the village NOISE will there be noise from the substation? SPR will not say if there is or not National grid planning more interconnectors and offshore wind farms Visual harm and character of Friston will change Light pollution will came from 24 hour working, car park plus security lighting If we had to move who would buy our house near a substation , TRAFFIC local roads will not cope with works traffic A1094 is really the size of a B road and very narrow in places two Lorries cannot pass. A12 junction gets very busy in summer and accident black spot Roads into Friston apart from B1121 are single track Mill road. Church lane .grove road SPR cannot guarantee works traffic will not use these roads so village roads could be chaos Road junctions will be very busy and may be difficult to cross The B1122 Aldeburgh to leiston is a very busy road and narrow SUMMONING UP where cable comes a shore the cliffs are very fragile and often there are cliff falls Worried about more flooding in the area SPR do not seem worried by this but we are we live here they do not Cable is very close residential properties and going across beautiful countryside which wildlife and landscape will never recover Tourism will be hit hard Suffolk is a beautiful county but who will want to visit when roads will be shut and full off works traffic No tourists will mean loss of jobs in a area where a lot of jobs depend on visitors coming there will be no jobs for locals on substation build or after Look at SPR plans for substation and on most Friston village is not shown why is that? So please look carefully at their plans and ask yourself why is that could it be they do not want you know how close it is and how their plans have some many flaws If you pass these plans this part off Suffolk will never recover and you we ruin so many lives and destroy a lovely area you cannot let SPR have there own way they do not about people or area only profits .
