Scottish Power Renewables – EA1N & EA2 I wish to object to this Scottish Power Renewables planning application, for the following reasons: 1. The destruction of homes and small Communities, to continue for possibly up to 15 years, affecting people who have lived here for many years and who have made this an area for their retirement, completely destroying the tranquillity as it is known today. 2. The ruination of the Countryside and the Environment, heathland, ancient woodland and affecting the instability of the cliffs at Thorpeness by the laying of cables. 3. The large area that the building of the Substation will cover, so close to village life with the air, noise and light pollution. 4. The areas road structure is totally inadequate for the continued heavy vehicle presence, not only the destruction of the roads and verges but the dangerous situation for cyclists and pedestrians. Also, for the continued noise 6/7 days a week ruining residents’ home and recreational activities. 5. The closure of footpaths, bridleways, cycle tracks and byways to the public causing a loss in visitors and the tourist trade which is vital to the local community. 6. All of these items mentioned will have an adverse effect on tourism which will affect the local businesses and loss for many trades people, especially involved in the holiday industry.
