I am against the onshore development for EA1N windfarm. Proposals will create severe damage and destruction to the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths AONB site and surrounding areas. Damage to wildlife and their habitat, air quality, light and noise pollution and visual impacts. Substantial loss of agricultural land, loss of public footpaths and increased traffic chaos from the construction of both the substations and cable corridors. Cable corridor landfall at Thorpeness is unsuitable due to unstable cliffs and coastal erosion. Damage to tourism, which the region relies on for local economy, resulting in loss of local jobs. One cohesive group is needed to oversee and minimise the combined impacts of EA1N,EA2, EDF Sizewell C x 2 reactors, and National Grid NGV Interconnectors, all huge industrial projects proposed to be built in the same area at the same timescale. Proposals will set a precedent for industrial scale development in a rural landscape.
