I have great concern about the affect on traffic using the A272 in the Cowfold area when this project is under construction. The effect this project will have on Cowfold and the surrounding area is astronomical . The A272 is already subject to heavy congestion and regular accidents in this area, it will not be able to cope with the disruption the construction will create. Cowfold is already suffering from a high level of air pollution from the traffic, it cannot take any more. The small side lanes to the east and west of the village will be blocked solid as they become rat runs for cars trying to avoid the inevitable traffic jams. The lives of the residents in the village and the surrounding area will become unbearable, we are sometimes trapped by the traffic even now. The fragile ecology of the Cowfold site will be destroyed forever. This positioning of this project has not been studied fully, it is a rushed decision based on incorrect information.
