I am most worried about the effect on the 3.5 trillion Insects that migrate across and back the south coast each year at a height of 150-1500mtrs, the wind turbines are 325 mtrs high. I am a retired entomologist. I also am worried about the impact on migrating birds coming from Africa and Europe and back annually. I am also worried about the effect on the seabed of the enormous amount of waste left there and the destruction of life. The effect of noise on the animal life in the sea for miles around the R" site. I object to the siting of Rampion 2 windfarm. It's too close to the shore to be "offshore", and the height will be in the flightpath of the 3 trillion insects that migrate across and back over the south Coast. As the number of Insecta has decreased by 65 % we are in danger of loosing too many pollinators to make food production adequate for our needs. Insects are at the bottom of the food chain, therefore all living creatures are affected by this loss. Also the bats and birds that migrate across the same coast will be badly affected. Research shows dead insects stick to turbine blades affect the efficiency of output.
