The Main issues that I wish to raise. The Phase 2 Turbines planned are very large, and will have a huge visual impact, thus likely to affect important "visitor" income , surely they should be located much further away from the coast. The construction of the onshore cable route will adversely affect important ecological areas, and associated wildlife. The building of a new Substation at Oakendene instead of taking the cable to the current facility at Twineham will cause problems regarding access during the (extended) construction stage. This is because very large vehicles will have to use the already congested A272 (not a dual carriageway) and Cowfold is already overwhelmed with traffic and exhaust fumes. Local narrow lanes are already used as "rat runs" during busy times, and likely to get much worse if construction of Oakendene SS is permitted. The Substation itself appears to be VERY large and as such will be entirely unsuitable for a rural location.
