We cant use wind power for everything due to geographic limitations: Wind energy can only be harnessed in areas that get a lot of wind. Wind farms are most often seen on the tops of hills or offshore, but consistent high-speed winds can't be guaranteed, even in these areas. The prevailing wind is SWesterly here and not consistent and the development would be more suitable in the North Sea. The energy generated is not able to be stored. To store the energy generated you would need to build a large-scale system offshore, you would also need to build a really huge platform built of sea containers and that's been found to be very, very costly. There is also the disruption caused to the surrounding area due to this installation
