The short term and long term effects to local marine life will never fully recover from the installation. The equipment, such as the blades are not recyclable, so the benefits re energy production do not outweigh the environmental impact of the materials used. And on a personal note, my ears react to the ‘pressure’ of wind turbines and the impact on my life will be noticeable to me.
