Dear Sir / Madam, As long-term residents, we are writing to express our extreme concern and absolute opposition to the use of Dragons Lane for this project. The lane is simply not suitable for heavy vehicles. In fact, it struggles greatly to support regular light traffic from its residents on a day to day basis because it is an unmade up lane. It is little more than a farm track and was previously built for horse and cart. Due to this, it is perfectly obvious that heavy vehicles will cause substantial, lasting damage. More importantly, there is a huge safety issue here. It is a bridle path, and a public footpath. Dog walkers, cyclists, hikers, joggers and children riding their ponies use the lane regularly. Anyone that walks along the length of Dragons Lane could do nothing but agree that it is a beautiful, unspoilt lane that supports a huge variety of wildlife all of which would be hugely disturbed with the proposed usage and that of the haul road. In summary, we are deeply concerned and completely opposed to Dragon’s Lane being used as an access point for this project and we are 100% against it. Sincerely, Mr and Mrs Peter Black
