I oppose the Rampion 2 project for the following reasons:- 1. It will have an adverse effect on our local environment because the turbines would 2.5 times the height of Rampion 1 and very visible from the Sussex coastline and the South Downs National Park; 2. I question whether Rampion's claims about the energy they can produce can be justified, given the damage they will do in the course of construction; 3. Apparently, Rampion 1 is only operational for 33% of the time whereas a new wind farm located further out to see would generate far lower CO2 emissions; 4. The proposed installation will affect insect, bird and bat migrations because it would become a bright, reflective fence 325m. tall across the Sussex Bay; 5. The cable trench will be over 30 km long and 50m. wide and will cut through ancient hedgerows and remove old trees as well as disturbing wild life and domestic animals during the course of construction which is expected to last for 4 years.
