Offshore wind farms bring significant benefits for the UK in terms of energy self-sufficiency. They help reduce the use of fossil fuels which are contributing to a rise in sea levels and which should of particular concern for Worthing. They also create jobs which are good for the local economy. They bring tax revenue. Managed sensibly, they can help the marine environment and sustainable fishing. They are also an interesting feature of the seascape and I think we could grow to love them like windmills of the past.
