Please do not build the Rampion 2 substation right next to Cowfold village. We are a village not an Industrial Revolution. If you ask Sussex Police I am sure they will support the objections, particularly the traffic problems we already have in Cowfold. The A272 is known to be one of the most dangerous roads in the country. Fatal accidents sadly over the years. It is absolutely ludicrous to even consider erecting an industrial size substation on the proposed site. Access will be dangerous and will increase road accidents on that stretch of the A272 , even possibly fatal ones. Drivers nowadays are impatient and take risks. The additional unacceptable amount of construction vehicles will be intolerable on the A272. The other day one van had broken down on the side of the road just to the east of Cowfold village. The tailbacks were all the way back to Picts Lane! Just for one small van, Many houses have gone up for sale in Acorn Avenue Cowfold recently and are not selling. Wonder if it is because of prospective buying finding out about what is going to happen to Cowfold village! Wind farms belong in the sea where it is windy, eg the North Sea or off the coast of Lands End. Not in the English Channel close to shore. Vehicle Pollution is proved to be a problem in Cowfold and to deliberately approve this substation is beyond uncaring and responsible. Traffic fumes from construction vehicles will definitely be even further detrimental to the villagers health and breathing. This sun station must NOT be approved so close to Cowfold. There must be an alternative
