As someone who dives and recreationally fishes the area, I can see that Rampion has been a massive benefit to sea life, partly due to the addition of massive amounts of underwater structure. Now it is complete it is one of the richest areas in Sussex, which for so long has had trawlers destroying the natural underwater structure and preventing recovery of fish stocks. I am definitely in favour of the Rampion extension, despite short term disruption.
