I spend most weekends in Nyetimber/Pagham close to Aldwick Bay and object to Rampion 2. The 22 miles of coastal wind turbines, only 8 miles offshore and 140m tall, will have an enormous visual impact on residents and visitors. This will severely affect tourism on the Sussex coast and South Downs. The latter will suffer from the main cable running up from Climping to Cowfold. The wind levels on the south coast are much lower than the North Sea and the efficiency of these wind turbines will be only 35% (based upon Rampion 1) . In any case they produce intermittent power, have a limited life (circa 25 years)and require dismantling and disposal of waste material. There will be great disturbance to the marine ecology, including kelp, crabs, lobsters and all fish, as well as killing and injuring sea birds.
