I strongly oppose the expansion of the Rampion Wind Farm, with up to a further 90 turbines, at possibly double the height of the original Rampion turbines. I have a house that is on the seafront in East Preston facing directly at the wind farm, which is about 13 kms offshore. The thought that turbines of up to 350 metres in height could be installed so close to the land is simply appalling. Evironmentally, visually and economically the affect of such a massive increase in the size of the windfarm will be significant. Environmental considerations such as the affect on both marine and bird life along the coast appear to have been totally ignored by the planners. Turbines of such a gigantic size will have a huge affect on the wildlife in the area. Such an expansion, so close to the shoreline, cannot be allowed to go ahead and I urge the Inspectorate to deny this horrendous scheme.
