It will have a detrimental effect on the recovery of the whole bay area, especially on sea life (crustaceans and bottom dwelling fish) and will radically increase the number of seabird deaths that the existing wind farm already causes. The numbers regarding electrical output in terms of homes supplied continue to be fake, in that the output is based on potential output capability, whereas decades of monitoring wind farm actual output shows their best case supply never gets much above 25% of their rated output. The companies involved in bidding for the construction contracts have already said they will not be bidding unless the government subsidies are increased by 70%, and given that our current electricity bills have shown for some time that their price per kW/hr is approx 3 times that of the equivalent gas energy kW/hr, economically it's a non starter.
