There has been inadequate- if not utter failure of - communication with the residents of Washington Village. An alternative route was proposed and has been dismissed without consultation. The negative impact on the environment, and on the social centre, of the village will be colossal. This is in addition to the proposed infill of Rock Common Quarry and the resulting unacceptable increase in traffic, noise and air pollution. The quarry is just across the - already overloaded - A283 from the proposed Rampion2 cable route. The residents of Washington Village are entitled to open and transparent consultation regarding the cable route.
