I have not received any communications from Rampion 2 and when I asked why at one of the meetings I was told that it would not affect me. I live directly opposite Oakendene.I am very concerned to note that we have had a traffic count through the village but I feel that we should also have a blue light traffic count. These emergency services have great difficulty in performing their duties with the A272 very often with queuing traffic and traffic unable to make a clear path for them. There is not the room in many places to move over with the trees and hedgerows almost on the roadside which means that these vehicles have to weave between standing traffic. I myself have on many occasions had stones hit my windscreen that have been on the road tarmac from the verges with vehicles having to drive on them. The road has not got the width in many areas with the vehicles that use it now. To think that this road could have the proposed lorries that rampion would need does not bear thinking about let alone letting it happen for all concerned. I do not believe that this is a safe area for this type of development. Also more thoughts should be put to the wildlife that we are seeing declining in our area and to take even more of their habitat is not what should happen. Once these animals have gone we may never see some of the species again
