This representation is in support of Rampion 2 - It is important that the UK continues to pursue sources of renewable power and to move away from the use of fossil fuels which are environmentally destructive and leave the UK dependent on other nations for our energy. While local concerns such as windmill farms being (arguably) detrimental in terms of visual and other impacts are important and should be taken into account where possible, these concerns do not outweigh the global issues of climate change and sea level rise which will inevitably affect local communities if nothing is done to reduce human generated carbon dioxide emissions. The windmills have to be built somewhere if we are to have sustainable power generation and energy security for the UK. For these reasons I believe the Rampion 2 project should be allowed to go ahead.
