I feel that the close local residents have been completely ignored and tricked by Rampions lack of honest canvassing at the beginning of their proposals. We knew nothing about it until the last week of the consultation. I know they said details on their website but if we didn’t know about it, how would we know to look on their website?? The location of the substation is completely unsuitable not only because of the impact on wildlife and biodiversity but hugely worrying is the impact on traffic around my lane. I have horses I need to use the lane for to get them between their stable and field, we run a business which is always impacted when ever there are traffic issues on the A272 and our little rural beautiful lane can not cope with the extra traffic already! Once there are hundreds more vehicles using this stretch of road for construction. Our lane will be gridlocked as people already use it as a rat run. Our lane is single track with dangerous bends and much farm vehicles, pedestrians, animals. There are many many accidents on this stretch of a272 and being a major trunk road right across the county the traffic would be a standstill waiting for cars to pass the large heavy goods vehicles etc. I can not see how our lives would not be severely impacted. Our business would Definately not survive and our chosen quiet rural life with animals would be destroyed. I am so stressed about this
