A: MAIN ISSUES and IMPACTS. For me these are 1) the negative visual impact of the project and 2) its relatively poor productive efficiency. ONE: I consider that the Rampion 2 WTGs are far too big (at either proposed size, 2 to 2.5 times larger that Rampion 1) for their location. They would be at least (at 285m) as big as the currently largest WTG in the world, and at 13km from shore, far too close (OESEA suggesting a minimum of 22km), especially for such giants, and (at a minimum of 90) far too many. TWO: In my view, the whole scheme is completely different in size, extent, and character from Rampion 1, and should not he considered as just an ‘extension’ to it. A project like Rampion 2 would be much better suited to a location further from shore, with more consistent (and productive) winds, and significantly less visual impact. B: THE PROJECT’S IMPACT ON MY DAY-TO-DAY LIFE. I bought my top floor flat in 2010, specifically for its view. I have an uninterrupted (except for one tree) 125 degree view from the beach to the horizon. Rampion 1, though visible, has had relatively little impact on my view. However, Rampion 2, with 65 to 90 Eiffel Towers just 12km in front of me, will largely destroy my view. My biggest concern is the disturbing visual impact of the aviation navigation lighting. Even if these are limited to placement on peripheral WTGs, at night time there would still be 20 to 30 lights on top of the WTG nacelles at a (minimum) height of 150 metres above sea level, and across a 30 kilometre site. This would place the lights, each flashing a synchronised 5 second ‘W’ in morse, almost (allowing for their distance and earth curvature) directly on my eye-line. These factors will have a significant negative impact on my quality of life. ============================
