[redacted]. I have lived in Goole and Hull, under the shadow of Drax smoke plumes, from its opening in 1974, until 1989. I noticed the increase in child asthma at that time, and the disappearance of colourful lichen from walls. The air was often choking, especially in the Petcoke era. [Redacted]. I have mapped the plumes and how they tie in with the Levels of lung disease under them, over four times the European average, and double that of Europe. I have studied carbon capture literature, for Iceland, Australia and USA, and I am far from convinced if its potential or even validity.
