hi, In the Guardian yesterday: 'The importing of wood to burn in Drax power station “is not sustainable” and “doesn’t make any sense”, the business and energy secretary, Kwasi Kwarteng, told a private meeting of MPs this week.'[1] The application in question is for adding carbon capture and storage technology at the Drax site. My objection is, basically, when you are in a hole, stop digging! We have to stop burning stuff.[2] i.e. the application is not sustainable development as defined in [Greg Clark's] NPPF. For information on why this application is completely unnecessary, please refer to Kevin Anderson.[3] [Redacted]
