Food security is a major issue going forward as climate changes. Using good grade farmland for Solar Panels is against the best interests of food security. In addition there will be major heavy traffic during construction along narrow lanes and adding to the issues of two crossings over the River Trent being single file and inadequate for most commercial lorries. This will intensify access to the area via the Burton on Trent river crossings and the narrow railway bridge at Stapenhill. Connecting the solar farm proposed in farmland to the distribution network from the old Drakelow Power station will be major construction and disruption along the Walton Road, which has seen more than its fair share of recent disruption due to housing development. There is spare brownfield land at the old Drakelow Power Station site that could be repurposed for a solar farm and be a better and less invasive and disruptive solution than decimating good farmland
