Myself and my family are strongly opposed to this solar farm going ahead, the land that is proposed to be used is rich farming land that can be used to produce crops. Whilst I appreciate we need greener energy, we do not need to use land that is used for farming. I am also concerned about the noise this will cause. We suffer from noise from the nearby A38 and do not want more noise pollution. Then there is the traffic issue. We already suffer badly from traffic pollution in this village, due to the infrastructure around us and the inadequate temporary single track Bailey Bridge. This is a constant source of frustration for our villagers with larger vehicles trying to use the bridge, getting stuck and blocking off the road. Coupled with the volume ever increasing, This solar farm will inevitably cause even more traffic in the area, which we cannot cope with currently.
