I live in Coton in the Elms a village near the proposed site . Our narrow winding rural roads are unsuitable for large vehicles and access into the village is a problem for HGVs due to narrow roads . In addition it’s difficult for HGVs to get to the site from the A38 as one bridge is too narrow and another has a weight restriction . This will divert all HGVs to a small number of roads and routes causing greater congestion. In addition the proposed site is very large in area and covers fertile farmland. We need land for food security. There will be glint and glare from the panels and am concerned about the effect on birds in particular. We are in the heart of the National forest and this will be an eye sore . Currently it’s a beautiful rural area and the size of the site will dominate the landscape.
