I travel these lanes nearly everyday to and from Barton Under Needwood. We all have problems with flooding since the new housing estate has gone up on the old Drakelow site and these fields are vital for drainage, and wildlife that has already lost their homes to bricks and mortar. The lanes are not suitable for heavy construction traffic and will just be broken up into more potholes and damaged surfaces. These lands have been farmed for centuries and provide vital produce and a lifestyle that is already in danger. Farmers need help to survive not solar panels.
