As a native of Catton/Coton-in-the-Elms I am greatly concerned to read of this proposed soIar farm installation at Oaklands Farm. I fear that once valuable agricultural land has been lost to this project it is very unlikely to be returned to agricultural use in the future. We cannot afford to lose such land and should be producing more not less of our own food. The disruption to daily life and perpetual noise will greatly impact local residents who include my own family. The destruction of wildlife habitat is a hard price to pay in such a rural area when nature is under threat already. Brown field sites must be considered.
