The local roads are unfit for purpose and are not well managed by the local councils. Poor signage, lack of reasonable speed limits and subsidence are a big problem. HGV’s travelling through the villages will increase the risks to the road users and members of the public. The small villages have weight limits in place, poor lighting and road width are not suitable for HGv’s or increased amount of traffic. The proposed land is of significant value for farming and to wildlife. There is also a significance historically in the local area.
