I have issues with the Oaklands Farm Solar Limited proposal. I am beyond worried about the impact the proposed solar farm will have on our little village and beautiful surroundings. Good farming land will be laid to waste when it should be continued to be used for food production as it is now (jersey cows and cereal production) surely putting solar on roof tops is a much better was to produce energy while still maintains some kind of food security for our country. Harm to wildlife, hedgerows and trees will be displaced while the solar farm is in production disturbing our beautiful and diverse wild animals newts (the stream will be destroyed in places to make way for access) deer and rare birds of pray that live on the proposed solar farm sites. Our already tiny narrow and pot hole ridden county lanes will become dangerously over used by major abnormal loads that will be routed through our villages endangering old cottages and houses structures from vibration. I am also very worried about the sounds of this site as they produce a constant high pitched electrical hum. Environment nuisance: noise, vibration, dust, glare and mud on roads. I strongly object the this proposal.
