For me, the main issue is about covering vast areas of agricultural land with solar plant just because the company proposing the plan can see they can make a lot of money. What should be happening is that the government decide how they want solar generated and then put out offers to tender not waiting for people to put in a plan that profits them but ruins rural environments. We should be using only brownfield sites, rooftops, motorway verges, car park covers, factory rooves, and railway embankments and so not destroying our agricultural land and our food security.
