I am against the Solar farm project as we need to ensure food security, creating solar plants on prime agricultural land should be criminal. Arable land in the uk is already lower than any time since WW2 and we need food to feed a nation without relying on imports so much. The war in Ukraine is a stark reminder that trading between partners can be cut off or reduced very quickly. I also have major concerns on the environment impact this monstrosity will create, we have seen more floods in the area in the last 5,years than in my previous time here. The fields cannot take more water and I cant see how solar power will help when it's been raining since October 23. I have many other concerns but will stop here for now. We need to be able provide sustainable food supplies, home grown, strangely that would help with reducing emissions as we would have to transport food over a shorter distance and not halfway around the world.
