This proposal will result in an unacceptable level of lorries passing through small villages such as Coton-in-the-Elms, Rosliston, and the hamlet of Drakelow. Too many large vehicles already use Rosliston Road South leading to other vehicles requiring to mount the pavement in order to pass these lorries. Also the pollution level will deterioriate accordingly. A site further away from inhabited areas would be more desirable, without the loss of valuable farm land. Should there be a fire from the batteries it would result in serious harm to countless residents nearby. Therefore, this proposal is totally unsuitable and should be rejected forthwith.
