I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed plan of a solar farm. The impacts of such a development would be felt most acutely by the parishes situated near the site. The local villages stands to bear a significant burden, particularly in terms of increased traffic congestion and its associated consequences. The local roads are ill-suited to accommodate heavy traffic, posing safety risks to residents, especially considering the vulnerability of certain roads to flooding. Beyond the most local villages the wider impacts among the neighbouring parishes are equally concerning. The existing congestion during peak hours, coupled with the poor road surface conditions, will only worsen with additional traffic. This not only threatens road safety but also contributes to environmental degradation and compromises the quality of life for residents in surrounding areas. I also wish to highlight the significant environmental impact of the proposed development. Clearing vast areas of tress and hedging would result in the destruction of natural habitats, disrupting local ecosystems and contributing to the loss of biodiversity. In summary, I am very concerned about the proposal and feel that it would be much more sensible to request all large industrial buildings should have solar panels fitted. Thank you for considering our concerns. Sincerely,
