The land should be retained as farmland. With the population increasing the land should be retained for food production. If the land is lost for food production, will it be returned to production in the future? Promises can easily be broken by big business regarding any return. Wildlife will be affected. Habitats have already been lost due to houses being built. Wildlife should be protected, not forced out. The volume of traffic will increase during construction. The lanes are already in poor condition and there is increased traffic because of houses being built. The village can’t cope with more. Living in a rural area was a choice l made and this development will destroy the environment. If these panels emit a noise when operational that will destroy the environment. I moved from town living for peace and quiet. Will flooding increase even more because of less drainage? Green energy is a way forward for our country but an island only has a finite amount of land. We are told that food production and house building needs to increase. Perhaps solar panels could be put on houses instead so that this country remains a green and pleasant land.
