I strongly support the solar farm and it should be allowed to go ahead. The principal valid objections to it are primarily visual - protesters dont like the look. Claims of removal of farmland are invalid - solar farms have little in the way of installation infrastructure which is not cheaply removable at end of life, substantially below other forms of power generation. Claims of effect on wildlife equally so - removal for a period of 50 years of chemicals being sprayed on this previously agricultural land surely is a good thing?
