This project should not be built on existing farming land due to the destruction of natural habitat and the social impacts among the nearby residential areas. Solar companies should consider using brownfield/wasteland sites rather than conversion of arable land. I do believe in the use of renewables, however we have advances in solar technology that now allows application on existing commercial buildings and roofs in urban area to now be seriously considered. Our expanding poulation of 67M in UK means that farmland should not be considered as a first choice.
