I am extremely disappointed and concerned that this project has got this far. Being a local resident, this will have a massive impact on our daily life and affect our quality of life hugely, with the noise from inverters and constant hum, the sun glare from the many many solar panels, years of construction work, huge (highly flammable) battery storage close by, mess, construction noise, increased construction traffic and traffic pollution, the loss of our local bridleway (out of only two local bridleways) and most alarming, forced acquisitions which were not adequately addressed in the consultation process. This appears to have been slipped in very quietly at the last minute. Not to mention taking away valuable food growing farmland. Mallard Pass Solar Farm are seeking 'forced acquisitions' on many of the residences along the main road through Essendine - I find this completely unacceptable and should not be allowed and was not addressed in the consultation process. If this goes ahead, it will create chaos with traffic along narrow B roads and areas around small villages during its lengthy build. I am not against solar at all but in the UK, but there are far better options for energy (I type this while looking at a dark skies having not seen the sun for several days). Solar belongs on industry rooftops, residential houses or areas of current wasteland - not on the doorsteps of several small villages and wasting good current farmland. I cannot tell you how upset, angry and very concerned most of the people who live in these villages are. This project should not go ahead.
