I am opposed to Mallard Pass Solar Farm. Whilst generally in favour of solar energy, this development is far, far too large. It will have a devastating impact on our open landscape and precious farmland. It will impact detrimentally on wildlife and the green spaces so imperative to their habitats. Visually it will look simply appalling. Brownfield sites should be used, roofs of industrial buildings, redundant airfields and spaces that do not impact on the ever decreasing countryside. Many people who live in villages that will be swamped by this proposed development will have their pleasant environment taken away to be replaced by fields of grey panels as far as the eye can see. It will be an absolute abomination if allowed to go through. God save our precious green and beautiful land.
