We believe that the massive scale of this development is highly damaging for Rutland. The development would lead to irreversible damage to the community due to the loss of quality, productive agricultural land, the loss of the natural character of the landscape and countryside, lasting damage to biodiversity and the environment, and damage to historical assets and identity. There are risks of compulsory purchase and unacceptable disruption to the lives and livelihoods of many individuals and businesses over a period of many years, within a wide area of these proposals. This proposal has the potential to offend the natural laws of this Country.
